  1. Where are you located?

    We are located at Unit 6&7 - 998 Keewatin Street, Just behind the CO-OP Gas Station right on Keewatin and Kinver street intersection.

  2. Are you currently open?

    Yes. We are open 6 days a week. Week days hours 9:00- 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

  3. Do you see walk in patients?

    Yes, we accept walk in patients throughout our working hours on a first come first served basis.

  4. Will my family doctor get a copy of my visit to your clinic?

    Yes, with your permission we will fax a copy of your walk in visit to your family physician. As well, if we order any investigations during your walk in encounter we will request that a copy of the result be sent to your family physician. This allows for good continuity in your medical care by keeping your family physician informed of any medical treatments that are initiated at our clinic.

  5. Do I have to bring my child with me in order to discuss his/her medical condition?

    Yes, we require the child to be present at any visits concerning his/her medical condition.

  6. Do you have a dedicated parking area?

    There is large free parking lot for the mall with easy access to the clinic through our main door. Our facility is totally handicapped accessible and friendly.

  7. Can I call the clinic to speak to my doctor?

    Unfortunately the doctors at KMC do not do patient care over the telephone. They are not able to diagnose health concerns over the phone. If you have a medical concern, please book an appointment to see your doctor.

  8. Can I phone the clinic for prescription refills?

    No! You may call your pharmacy for the refill, accordingly the pharmacy will call your doctor and your prescription will be refilled according to the patient’s health needs and doctor’s discretion.

  9. What if I missed my appointment?

    Keewatin Medical Center & Pharmacy requires 24 hours notice for appointment cancellations, if you are unable to make your appointment, please call us ahead of time to reschedule. No shows will be charged a fee that vary based on the type of appointment.

  10. If I had lab work done, can i get the results over the phone?

    No, Our clinic policy is not to provide lab results or medical reports over the phone. Please make an appointment with your physician to discuss the lab results or any medical reports. You will only be contacted by our office to come for an appointment if your lab results were abnormal.

  11. Will I need to spend time waiting to see the doctor?

    No, every examination is carefully planned to eliminate any waiting on your part. In some occasions the previous patient may request special care, we generally take this in consideration and do our best that your doctor will see you within 15 minutes or less.

  12. What type of payments do you accept?

    We accept cash and most major credit cards.

  13. Are you accepting new patients?

    We are currently accepting new patients. Please call the Clinic at 204-615-0012 for more information. All walk – in patients are welcomed to visit the clinic for all their healthcare needs on a first come first served basis.

  14. How many physicians working at the clinic?

    There are currently four family physicians working at the clinic.

  15. How can I book an appointment?

    Please note only patients registered with a Family Doctor in the clinic could book appointments. Appointments can be booked over the phone or at the reception desk, or through our online bookings. Walk-in patients do not need to book an appointment, they are seen on a first come first served basis.

  16. What pieces of information will I be asked for when booking an appointment and when I come in for my appointment?

    When booking an appointment we will need your first and last name, date of birth, phone number and reason for your visit. When you come in for your appointment, we will need to see your Manitoba Health Card . Please also bring a list of your current medication. All other information about your health history will be helpful.

  17. Should I choose to transfer my medical file to your clinic, what is the process?

    We would first arrange a first visit with one of our physicians and they will discuss with you this option. In many cases there will be a cost associated with this transfer to be paid to the other clinic. We want ensure that you have all information needed to make this discussion.
